1st/2nd—We did Standards Practice p20-23 for bellwork. We went over the homework on the overhead discussing the formula for area of a triangle, trapezoid, and circle. We worked on puzzles covering these skills. We will take a quiz over this Friday from p591.

3rd/4th—We did Standards Practice p20-23 for bellwork. Some finished 462(1-16) and started on 656(1-11) for a review for the test. We worked on our circle graphs which are due Friday. 

HOMEWORK: PRACTICE CHAPTER 9 TEST; form 2B

1st/2nd—-We did Standards Practice for bellwork p17-20. We went over the homework on area of parallelograms, triangles, and trapezoids. we went over the area of a circle. We took a vocabulary test over chapter 11 terms.

HOMEWORK: workbook 11-5(2-10)evens & 11-6(2-10)evens

3rd/4th—We did Standards Practice for bellwork p17-20. We took a grade from p462(1-16). We will review chapter 9 some more tomorrow and begin the test. 

ALL CLASSES HAD GUIDANCE TODAY

1st/2nd–We went over 442(3-12) and workbook 10-6. We took a grade from 588 lesson 10-6.

3rd/4th–We worked on correcting Chapter 7 test,form 3 &  finishing 634 lesson 7-7 thru 7-8.

1st/2nd—We did “Week 14″ pTN19 for bellwork. We went over the puzzles from yesterday covering Similar Shapes. We will go over 442(3-12) and workbook 10-6 tomorrow—right before we take a grade on it. We also covered a lesson on Polygons & Tesselations.

3rd/4th— We did “Week 12″ pTN17 for bellwork. We reviewed volume and surface area by doing p367(9-12,16). We finished the quiz from yesterday and turned in Chapter 7 Test, form 3. Form 3 is graded and will be given back to be corrected tomorrow. The “one-chance” test will be Thursday.

1st/2nd—We started the period with an activity connected to International week. The students were required to change the cost of different items from dollars to pesos. We worked on a worksheet covering Similar Shapes.

HOMEWORK: 442(3-12)–show the proportion!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3rd/4th—-We started the period with an activity connected to International week. The students were required to change the cost of different items from dollars to pesos. We went over more of 354(6-24) and started on the Surface Area Quiz. Some students will finish tomorrow.

1st/2nd—We did “week 12″ pTN17 for bellwork. We went over the Quadrilateral worksheets from Tuesday. We did a quick lesson on Similar Figures(to be continued tomorrow). We then began working on a “Study Guide” for the Mid-Chp Test which will be tomorrow. We will go over the “Study Guide” before the test.

HOMEWORK: Study Guide & Angle Packet( if you haven’t finished it)

3rd/4th—We did “Week 10″ pTN15 for bellwork. We went over p350(9,11,13,19,21) on the board. We had a lesson on Surface Area of Pyramids & Cones. We began working on p354(4-26).

HOMEWORK: 354(4-26)–DO NOT SPEND AN INORDINATE AMOUNT OF TIME ON THIS. COME PREPARED TO ASK SPECIFIC QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING.

1st/2nd—We did “Week 11″ pTN16 for bellwork. We took a self-check quiz from www.msmath2.net to review for the real quiz on triangles. We took the quiz on triangles. After the quiz, they worked on reviewing for the Mid Chp Test this Friday by starting on p438(1-16). We will review more tomorrow and take the quiz Friday.

3rd/4th—We did “Week 9″ pTN14 for bellwork. We went over the homework from last night. We took the quiz over Volume. After the quiz, we worked on 350(9,11,13,19,21) and 354(6-24).  

1st/2nd—We did “Week 10″, pTN15 for bellwork. We went over the homework on triangles. We will take a grade over this tomorrow–(classifying triangles & finding the missing angle when 2 are given). We went over classifying quadrilaterals and worked on a couple of quadrilateral puzzles.

3rd/4th—We did “Week 8″, pTN13 for bellwork. We went over the Surface Area homework and worked p350(9,11,13,19,21). We will go over them tomorrow.

HOMEWORK: 7-6 Word Problems & 7-6 Study Guide and Intervention, Quiz over Volume

1st/2nd—We did “Week 9″ on pTN14 in the very front of the text. We went over classifying triangles according to their sides & angles. We also reviewed angle relationships & the sum of the angles of a triangle. 

HOMEWORK: workbook 10-4

3rd/4th—We did “Week 7″ on pTN12 at the very front of the text. We went over p344(3-11, 16-19) on the board. We also had a quick lesson on Surface Area. 

HOMEWORK: p349(4-6)

1st/2nd—We finished the crossword puzzle & word find. I gave out the answers so they can use these as a study guide tonight. The test comes directly from the puzzles. We covered the lesson on complementary & supplementary angles. Vertical angles were covered also. 

HOMEWORK: STUDY!!!!!!!!!

3rd/4th—We did 340 for bellwork. We worked on the “Area Packet” in groups. If your group did not finish, finish yours tonight so you can go over it quickly tomorrow. We will have a Mid-Chapter Quiz tomorrow. We will review more tomorrow before the actual test.
