1st/2nd—- We did 23(3-13) for bellwork and went over it in class. We got in groups and worked on the order of operations brain-teaser and a puzzle with “guess-and-check” problems.

HOMEWORK: none!!!!!!!

3rd/4th—-We did 80(42-54) for bellwork and went over it in class. We went over workbook 2-4 on the board. We reviewed chapter 1 vocabulary and did a crossword & word-find to reinforce the terms. We also worked on some word problems involving multiplying/dividing fractions.

CHAPTER 1 VOCABULARY TEST WILL BE TUESDAY THE 16TH. 

HOMEWORK: none!!!!!!!

1st/2nd period—-We did 16(21-29)odd & 17(57-65) odd for bellwork. We went over these on the board and took a grade from p 564 covering Exponents and Order of Operations.

HOMEWORK: 23(3-13) you may use a calculator

3rd/4th period—- We dod 75(35-41) for bellwork. We went over these on the board and then did workbook 2-3 on the board. We finished the grade from yesterday.

HOMEWORK: workbook 2-4 odd

1st/2nd—-We did 17(53-55) for bellwork. We went over the homework over exponents. We did some problems from the computer involving order of operations and got in groups to work on the brain teaser.

HOMEWORK: We will take a grade over exponents & order of operations tomorrow. (see p.564 lesson 1.2 & 1.3))

3rd/4th—- We graphed points on a number line for bellwork. We went over workbook 2-2 on the overhead and board. We started a grade over Fractions to Decimals & Comparing Rational Numbers. We will finish that tomorrow.

HOMEWORK: finish workbook 2-3(odd) if you haven’t already.

1st/2nd period—- We started a second crossword puzzle for bellwork. We saw how money can grow exponentially and worked on workbook 1-2(odd).

3rd/4th period—- We did 66(48-54) for bellwork. We went over the homework 64(4-13) and quickly reviewed multiplying fractions.

HOMEWORK: workbook 2-2,2-3(odd on both pages)

1st/2nd period—-We did 46(1-5) and 47(17-23)odd for bellwork. We worked on a vocabulary crossword puzzle and some order of operations brain teasers. 

HOMEWORK: finish the crossword

3rd/4th period—-We did p108(1-8) for bellwork. We discussed rational numbers and changing between decimals and fractions. 

HOMEWORK: 65(4-13)

1st/2nd period—-We went over the vocabulary test & the quiz that we took yesterday. We then completed the Chapter 3 Test.

HOMEWORK: none

3rd/4thperiod—-We went over the vocabulary test & the quiz that we took yesterday. We then completed the Chapter 1 Test.

HOMEWORK: none 

1st/2nd—-We did 146(1-10) for bellwork. We took some time to study the vocabulary terms and then took the test. We completed a practice test for chapter 3. I gave them the answers and will answer any questions they may have before the test tomorrow.

3rd/4th period—- We did p49(47-51) & 53(45-50) for bellwork. We studied for the vocabulary test for a short time and then took the vocabulary test and a grade on the last half of the chapter.

1st/2nd—-We did p 144(43-57)odd for bellwork. We reviewed for the vocabulary test with a memory game on the computer. We took a grade over the last half of the chapter and did a word find to get ready for the vocabulary test.

HOMEWORK: vocabulary test

3rd/4th—- We did p58(1-8) for bellwork. We compared answers on the homework in groups and went over the correct answers to get ready for the test on Friday. The vocabulary test is tomorrow. The majority of the test is the same as p54(1-10). 

HOMEWORK: vocabulary test

1st/2nd—- We did p145(1-25) for bellwork. This is a good review for the test which will be Friday. We also continued to work on puzzle E-64. This puzzle has problems involving +,-, and x with integers. We will continue to review for the vocabulary test (Thursday) and the chapter 3 test ( Friday).

HOMEWORK: E-64  SHOW YOUR WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3rd/4th—-We did p54-55(1-18) for bellwork. This is a good review for the vocabulary test(Thursday). We also played a memory game with the vocabulary terms. We started our review of the chapter by working on Chapter 1 Test, form 3. We did this in groups and it needs to be finished for homework.
