1st period–We will wrap up chapter 11 and take a test on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday we will begin chapter 9 from the green text—”Exploring Real Numbers”. As we get closer to TCAP, we will review more frequently using the TCAP workbook.
2nd-4th period–We are beginning chapter 10 “Geometry”. As we get closer to TCAP, we will review more frequently using the TCAP workbook.
We warmed up with a TCAP review. We began reviewing for the chapter 5 test which will be Thursday. We reviewed using page 235 in the text and worked in groups.

Sorry for missing the last few days. We have been working on Greatest Common factor, Least Common Multiple, & Comparing/Ordering Rational Numbers. We will take a grade over these three concepts tomorrow. The grade will come from these pages—-230(21-41)odd & 226(8-17)all.
Sorry for missing the last few days. We have been working on chapter 6 in the green book. The part of the chapter we are focusing on begins with Rational Numbers and goes through to Scientific Notation. We will take a grade tomorrow on Scientific Notation & Comparing/Ordering Rational Numbers. These are on pages 264 & 266.
We reviewed simplifying fractions and took a grade on the skill. We began working on changing between fractions, decimals, & percents.
We went over fractions to decimals to percents from the workbook pages 5-4 thru 5-6. We took a grade over these skills. The students should have their new homework packet and turned in the one that was due today. We will begin reviewing for this test and take it on Tuesday.
We worked on problem solving from p202. We reviewed simplifying fractions. There will be grade taken tomorrow on simplifying fractions. We began a lesson on changing fractions to decimals to percents.
We worked on problem solving involving making a list from p202. We continued to work on workbook 5-4, 5-5, 5-6. We will review these pages tomorrow and take a grade over changing fractions to decimals to percents.
We worked on prime factorization, simplifying fractions, and greatest common factors. Tomorrow, we will work on problem solving(making an organized list).
